


However Compare that to Witcher 3's soundtrack. You feel apathetic to it's existence and even worse probably turn it off altogether. You don't really think it sounds awesome or something that could come close to invoking it. Just listen to a few tracks on the list for yourself and come to a conclusion. Just a shallow husk that ironically represents the rest of the feeling you get while you play. I would say that it has no "soul" put into it. More like it's a cacophony of randomly composed sounds that just is applied to areas without any emotional or essences/care put into it. I'm not saying depressing music doesn't covey anything, I'm saying It doesn't work here, or rather it's not conveying a mood or really properly getting a unique feeling in a particular atmosphere where it fits. Was listening to some of the OST from fallout 4 and was thinking of how depressingly un-evocative it is.
